Eight ACMS Singers gave a beautiful concert in the stunning setting of St Andrews’s Cathedral, in Aberdeen, on Saturday. The concert was then finished by Daniel who played the 2nd Movement of Rachmaninov’s 2nd Sonata.

ACMS are delighted to provide the music for the Citizenship Ceremonies which take place at the Town House in Aberdeen every six weeks or so.
Once again the Music School had a fabulous set of results at last week’s Aberdeen Music Festival. Our traditional group has been invited to play at the annual Aberdeen city Council Star Awards on Thursday 14th June at the Beach Ballroom.
Having worked so hard, Rebecca and Kristen were awarded with their NYCoS Gold Awards on Saturday.
We had a wonderful time at NESMS in a masterclass with International Baritone and theatrical genius Donald Maxwell. Elizabeth soared up to a top c in “The Laughing Song”, Andrew and his teddy characterised “The Nightmare Song”, and Kristen waltzed beautifully with Donald in “By Strauss”.
Our traditional group will be performing in association with Drake Music Scotland (the nation’s leading arts organisation which provides music making opportunities for children and young people with disabilities) at Haddo House, on Tuesday 5th June at 12.45. Everyone welcome.
As part of the North East of Scotland Music Festival our chamber group will be performing at Mannofield Church, Aberdeen at 2pm on Sunday 27th May. All welcome.
